Knox County Schools - Partnership in Education | www.kcs.k12tn.netThe Partners in Education program (PIE) is designed to create a close working relationship between a community partner and a school or specific program within the Knox County School System. The purpose of the program is to enrich and extend the educational opportunities of our students while fostering a deeper understanding of the school system within the community. As a Partner in Education, QE² provides summer camp scholarships, mentoring and incentive programs for at-risk youth, annual participation in the Career Fair for 8th graders, readers in the Knox County Schools Read-with-Me program and routine donations of corporate time and resources.
WDVX Public Radio | www.wdvx.comWDVX is a listener supported radio station, an activity of the Cumberland Communities Communications Corporation, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, not affiliated with any college, university, religious or political organization. Funding comes from individual donations, benefit concerts and local businesses that underwrite our programming. WDVX is a grass roots radio station. WDVX plays Bluegrass, Americana, Classic Country, Alternative Country, Western Swing, Blues, Old Time and Traditional Mountain Music, Bluegrass Gospel, Celtic, and Folk. WDVX also provides local and regional musicians an outlet for their talents. QE² also provides private donations and volunteer time for station fund drives.
Downtown Rotary | www.knoxvillerotary.comRotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. The Downtown Knoxville chapter has been active in raising money to support organizations that have established themselves as significant contributors to resolving special needs in our community. Four such organizations are; The Florence Crittenton Agency, Inc., The Volunteer Ministry Center, Dr. Robert Kronick's Full Service Community School program, and The Manning House. The Chapter is also active in community development such as the Cumberland Avenue project, the Literacy Reading program and International Fresh Water Projects. QE²'s Vice President and CFO Steve Jerman represents QE² in the Downtown Rotary and volunteers for Rotary-sponsored service projects and committees.
