Area Chambers of Commerce | www.knoxchamber.comQE² and its staff are actively involved supporting economic development throughout the East Tennessee area. This includes membership and participation in the Knox Area Chamber Partnership (KACP), the Blount Chamber of Commerce, the Greene Chamber, Morristown Chamber of Commerce, and Grainger County Chamber. QE² supports and attends promotional events, provides volunteer labor and sponsors efforts by the Chambers to advance their mission of sustainable economic growth.
TN Chamber of Commerce and Industry | www.tnchamber.orgThe Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry is the state chamber of commerce and the state manufacturers' association. The Chamber works to make your business a success by advocating for you in the State Capitol and by providing you with access to knowledge and services that improve your bottom line. Principals George Hyfantis and Patrick Mulligan represent QE² as affiliate members of TCCI and serve on the Hazardous Waste and Remediation Subcommittees reviewing environmental policy and rulemaking proposals. Mr. Mulligan was also appointed by TCCI to the Water Quality Control Board as a Stand-In member to review contested water permit cases.
Community / Rural DevelopmentQE² promotes community and rural development by working with municipal officials throughout East Tennessee to identify infrastructure and development projects that serve the local economy and are eligible for federal and state-supported grant and loan programs. Recent examples include a grant-funded sewer conveyance between Watts Bar Dam and Spring City, Tennessee and a wastewater treatment plant upgrade at the Grainger County Industrial Park that serves both local industry and the local educational system.
