TN Environmental Council | www.tectn.orgThe mission of the Tennessee Environmental Council is to educate and advocate for the protection of the environment and public health in Tennessee. Since 1970, TEC has worked to empower the collective force of the environmental community and provide leadership in program areas of clean water, clean air, pollution prevention, healthy forests and smart growth. Dr. George Hyfantis, P.E. serves as the QE² representative to the TEC. This representation resulted in Dr. Hyfantis' appointment by the governor to the State of Tennessee Underground Storage Tank Board for which he has served as both Board Member and Chairman.
Water Quality Forum | www.waterqualityforum.orgThe Water Quality Forum is a coalition of public and private organizations and individuals whose mission is to protect and improve watersheds and waterways in Knoxville and its immediate metropolitan area. QE² is a Water Quality Forum partner, contributes educational publications for newsletters and volunteers to support outreach efforts.
Professional / Technical AffiliationsQE² and its staff are devoted to sound technical and professional practice amongst engineers, geologists and the technical and scientific trades that are at the core of it business and are critical to environmental and public safety. QE² staff are members of a broad range of professional and technical organizations such as the East Tennessee Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers. QE² is represented in the East Tennessee ASCE Chapter by a number of our professional engineers. One of these is our Sr. Director Environmental Services, Ms. Helen Hennon, P.E., who was appointed by Governor Phil Bredesen to represent the engineering community on the State of Tennessee Air Pollution Control Board. |
